Out for a morning walk I am spotted by grazing the peaceful endangered Hawaiian nēnē goose. From a distance I was able to coo them closer for greater viewing.
I just received a bag of beautiful Carolina Reaper peppers, Guinness Book of World Record’s official hottest pepper in the world. It isn’t pretty but tastes great, gives a great capsaicin experience and has a natural raspberry flavor. Yum!! This will be used to make some White Pineapple Carolina Reaper Jam by Steve’s Akaka Falls Farm.
This beautiful sunset represents one of the best moments in my life. After nearly 13 years of barely interacting with my daughter my little princess and I are talking. It’s been a rough 13 years. We are moving forward and I’m excited to help her become the queen that is within her. I dedicate this sunset to her. Aloha au Ke Akua me koʻu naʻau a pau.

Midway in my Kailua Kona Coast walk. I stopped at Don The Beachcomber’s Mai Tai Grille for some iced tea and pupus. Relax, put your feet on the wall and listen to the waves. This is one of my favorite places to just chill.
Just picked up my Bulletproof Coffee at Waimea Coffee Company. I gave them a Carolina Reaper Pepper from my buddy’s garden. They said they will use it in the tacos for Taco Tuesday today. Yum. Carolina Reaper is the Guinness’ HOTTEST pepper in the world.
I was saddened to see a landmark which has been here forever is now gone. Yama’s Specialty Shop (fishing tackle) is gone. I was recently speaking with one of the old timers in Kailua Kona and he was referencing this exact spot.
We mourn the passing and wish the new business, Nicholson Construction Company, LLC the best of luck. May they be a good neighbor and community landmark in the future. 75-118 Lunapule Rd, Kailua Kona, HI

Relaxing at Ola Brewery to a wonderful Kiawe Vanilla Porter. They roast the kiawe seed pods which gives this beer a light smoky flavor and the vanilla smooths out any rough edges. 6.8% ABV, 20 IBU
