What happens to rain in Hawai’i above 13,000’ elevation? Snow!!!! It is always a beautiful sight to see a snow capped Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Enjoy.
Here is an ingenious Wet-side of Hawai’i Island (Hilo-side) work around. Living on dry-side (Kona-side) this issue never came up. How do you get gas from the delivery truck into the underground storage containers, while it’s raining, for the last week, up to 4 inches per hour? Sandbags!! You create a sandbag barrier around it. Mahalo to all the workers who excel at there jobs during rain, shine, hurricane, and pandemic.

1) Snow capped left overs from last weeks weather front kissed the top of Mauna Kea as we view from Waimea (Kamuela) on The Big Island called Hawai’i. 2) Part of the bounty from the Farmers Market. Hamakua Tomatoes and tangerines. Yum!! 😋
I was watching a short video on the @simplypiano_by_joytunes app as I am learning to play some classical pieces when I saw this quote. I had to share because it is a simple reminder that anything worth having is worth going through the pain to achieve. Love you JoyTunes.

Cuckoo for Coconuts!! Shout out for coconuts. My buddy Jai does safe coconut removal from your trees. He then creates amazing elixirs to make your body purr. If you have coconut trees on Hawai’i Island he will come to you and help you resolve the issue. Better than falling on your head.

Finally... someone understands the world the way I do. Simply love on people. Pray blessings upon your enemies. Blessings for enlightenment for them and for yourself. As we “Seek first to understand, then to be understood,” we remember we have more in common with our neighbors than we knew a moment ago.
I love Kamuela. I never get tired of the deep colors of this Hawai’i Island. At 3000’ elevation in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, the deep contrast where bright kelly green grassy hills meet darker lush olive green jungle and the pristine white and grey clouds peacefully drift by and the hills try to touch the baby blue sky. This complex diversity of color reminds you that you are somewhere special. A place where there is no need for war... or hate... or anger. There is only gratitude in your heart. Mahalo Ke Akua. *
Paradise Problems: After the waves of Hapuna Beach this is boring.
3 of 3 Anaeho’omalu Bay 21.12.20. Didn’t see Jupiter or Mars behind the clouds but it was still an amazing sunset.
